About the Role:
We are looking for a Survey CAD Technician to join our team! As a Survey CAD Tech, you will have the opportunity to utilize your extensive experience working with AutoCAD software and advanced design skills to create, modify drawings and meet all client specifications. Applicant must have excellent writing and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, organization, problem solving and ability to project manage.

This position is full-time. Generally, it will be a 40-hour, 5-day work week, however, work outside of these times may be necessary on a project specific basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and interpret survey data and notes from field crews for input into AutoCAD/Civil 3d
  • Draft As-built, Boundary, and Topographic Surveys
  • Coordinate with clients, public agencies, and others from the general public as a professional representative of HMH
  • Communicate with Survey manager and Engineers to discuss project roles and requirements
  • Generate CAD Surface models using Civil 3d software.
  • Work productively, both individually and as a part of a team
  • Research survey records and land titles to obtain information about properties and areas to be surveyed
  • Civil engineering land development, infrastructure design, and construction document preparation for roads, parking areas, storm drainage systems, stormwater management facilities, utilities-water mains, sanitary sewers, sediment, and erosion control, and outline specifications
  • Finalize AutoCAD models
  • Interpret design plans and generate conduction staking points and plans for field crew
  • Perform QA/GC of survey data from field crews and final survey products
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree in drafting or equivalent technical experience
  • 3+ years’ experience as CAD Drafter or similar role
  • Proficient with 3D modeling in Auto CAD or Civil3D
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent technical design skills
  • Process mechanical aptitude and complete basic calculations
  • High self-motivation for completing tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
  • High attention to detail and strong communication skills for collaboration
