FREE Indian Fabric Painting Class

Learn Indian fabric painting in our 6-week class, 6-8PM starting Oct 7 on shading on fabric, painting types of leaves and flowers.

About Class
In this class we are going to learn basic techniques of fabric painting, such as shading on fabric, painting types of leaves and flowers. You will have a chance to use your creativity and different styles of painting to decorate fabric. Learning fabric painting works as a great hobby and you can explore something new.
Why Join?
Jyothi is a native of India who learnt this artistic craft and skill from her aunt who had opened a learning centre for the craft (fabric painting). Jyothi there on grew up painting sarees, beddings, traditional clothes or anything that she could lay her hands on that needed sprucing!
This cultural activity connects people to art, culture, mind, body and soul soothing experience. Jyothi holds this dear to heart and this is something she cherishes and would love to share with the community.

Schedule
Class meets every Tuesday, starting October 7th for 6 weeks.
Week 1: Introduction,history,basic drawing, fabric
Week 2: Paper tracing on fabric , Colour combination ,strokes of leaves, flowers and nature patterns
Week 3: Shading of multiple colours,flat brush techniques
Week 4: Designs on white fabric
Week 5: Designs on white fabric
Week 6: Final project
